Sebastian River Medical Center's Laboratory is fully accredited by JCAHO and certified by CLIA for high complexity testing in Immunohematology (transfusion service), Serology, Chemistry, Therapeutic Drugs, Drugs of Abuse Screening, Hematology, Coagulation, Microbiology, Urinalysis and Blood Gas Analysis specialties.
The Laboratory is staffed seven days a week, 24 hours a day to support our Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergent Medicine departments. Ninety-five percent of all orders are performed in-house, resulting in quick reports turn around. The Laboratory also routinely provides health screening services to the community throughout the year.
