When every second counts ... Sebastian River Medical Center's Emergency Room is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Emergency Room is staffed with a team of board certified physicians and registered nurses and paramedics who provide care for urgent, emergency and traumatic situations. A physician is always available and is supported by a staff of credentialed and caring nurses, technicians, and support personnel.
Get in, get out as quickly as possible
The Emergency Room staff will immediately see the serious injuries, heart attacks and other instances where patients need a high level of care. If your problem is not severe, you may be able to go through our Fast Track system, allowing you to get out more quickly.
Who Comes to the Emergency Room?
The Emergency Room sees a variety of patients, including heart problems, serious injuries due to accidents and also people with simple colds or coughs. If there truly is an emergency, remember that time is of the essence. We can often limit the damage you'll receive from a stroke or heart problem if you arrive soon after the onset. Getting to the closest emergency room could save your life.
